Is CClinic a real doctor?: CClinic is an AI doctor. It is not a licensed human physician. The system was designed to think the way a careful, attentive primary-care doctor would, and it produces a real clinical note. You can take that note to a human clinician anytime.
Should I use CClinic for an emergency?: No. If you have chest pain, trouble breathing, signs of a stroke, severe bleeding, a suicidal crisis, or any life-threatening symptom, call 911 (US) or your local emergency number. CClinic explicitly does not handle emergencies.
Can CClinic prescribe medications?: Not in the Ring 1 test phase. CClinic produces a complete clinical assessment and plan, but writing a prescription requires a licensed clinician in your state. Once we add the licensed-clinician review layer, prescriptions will follow.
How long does a visit take?: Typical visit is 20–30 minutes. A short follow-up visit can be 10 minutes. A full annual physical or workup of a complex new complaint can take 45 minutes.
What if I have to stop mid-visit?: Just close the tab. Your progress saves automatically — when you come back you'll pick up where you left off. If you don't return within 24 hours we'll send your dashboard link by email.
What devices does CClinic work with?: Today: Withings (blood-pressure cuffs, scales) directly via OAuth. We're adding Apple Health, Google Fit, and OMRON next. Any reading you can show on screen (e.g. a phone display of your home pulse-ox) we can also capture by camera during the visit.
Can I share my visit with my regular doctor?: Yes. From your dashboard, every document has a 'Send to clinician' button that produces a PDF you can email, fax, or upload to a patient portal. The clinical note is formatted the same way medical records you've seen from your own doctor are.
Who can see my CClinic records?: Only you, by default. The system stores records in a HIPAA-aligned posture with row-level security per patient. CClinic staff cannot read individual records without a court order or your explicit consent. See the privacy page for details.
Will my insurance cover this?: Not in Ring 1. CClinic is currently a private test program for a small group. When we open to broader users we'll publish a fee schedule and pursue insurance partnerships.
What if the AI gets something wrong?: CClinic is designed to call out its own uncertainty rather than hide it. If a diagnosis isn't clear, it'll say so and tell you what other diagnoses are still in play. If you think it got something wrong, use the in-product 'Report an issue' link — that creates a ticket reviewed by Phillip directly.
What languages does CClinic support?: English-first for Ring 1. Spanish, Vietnamese, and Mandarin are next. The intake form supports a language preference field today; the doctor voice is added per-language as we validate it.
How is this different from a symptom checker?: Symptom checkers give you a list of possible conditions. CClinic does an actual structured visit: it takes a history, does an examination, gives you an assessment and plan, and writes a note. The output is a real medical record, not a triage suggestion.
What does CClinic NOT do?: Today: prescribe medications, order labs/imaging, handle emergencies, replace mental-health crisis services, or replace your primary care doctor for chronic management. We're transparent about limits and tell you when you need a human.
